April 2026 Ministry Report
Since last month’s letter focused on Easter there was no ministry report so here is the latest update on what the Lord has been doing through your partnership with Team 5:18.
This year’s first revival was for the Wind and Rain dormitories and once again there was over 500 in attendance. Although it was an evangelistic event the program was a testimony to our deep commitment to discipleship as all the speakers, music, and work was being done by alumni of the ministry who are now free and serving the Lord in the outside world.
Next on the agenda was a leadership workshop which focused on how to study and responsibly present the Word of God whether it’s when teaching, preaching, or sharing one on one. Our goal in these workshops is to strengthen the body of Christ in the prison by training, encouraging, and equipping the leaders of the various ministries within the prison.
Malachi Dads and Celebrate Recovery are going very well. God has blessed us with a great team of volunteers, leaders, and facilitators. The classes are larger than last years, and the men seem to be soaking up the teaching.
Tuesday’s pastoral prayer visits have become one of my favorite activities. Dan Williams and I roam the prison looking for “Divine Appointments” to share the gospel and minister to guys who feel they have been forgotten. You and I know that Jesus hasn’t forgotten about anyone.
I’m still adjusting to coordinating the Life Coach mentoring program at the children’s home. As they keep increasing the number of boys there it’s become a challenge to have enough men available to fill the needs. Pray that God will supply the needs of this good work. Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” If you are interested in serving, please contact me
This Saturday (April 25) Team 5:18 is helping one of the prison churches put on a Billy Graham type crusade. It’s not our event but we will be supplying the food. We look for ways to serve the other ministries as we are kingdom oriented and willing to serve all who are serving the King.
The date of the next A DAY WITH DAD has been changed to Saturday November 7th. If you plan to volunteer put that on your calendar now!
